Jordane Christie plays Troy; the husband who goes to reflect on his fallen relationship with his wife Whitney played by Emily DeSena. It Rained on Tuesday is a poetic film which mixes the feel of a theater play and dramatic cinema. Written and Directed by N.K.Osborne.
Director’s notes: Inspired by “In the Mood for Love”. It Rained on Tuesday is a poetic film with a theatrical feel. I wanted to achieve a feel of captured theater and poetry. I wanted the story to be told mainly by the events and pain on the character’s face rather than them telling you what they’re feeling via dialogue. The soundtrack is also an essential part of the story which speaks for the characters allowing me to keep the dialogue to a minimum and to focus on the emotional pain. The music acts as sort of a narrator and quite possibly my favorite character in the film. It Rained on Tuesday is undoubtedly my hardest and most challenging creations. I had to examine love through pain because it was the only way I knew how. Love stories aren’t typically my forte, therefore this film became an immense challenge. I hope the audience enjoys it.
